It was fear that kept me from You.
Fear that saw you a distant dream
Rather than a coming reality.
Fear kept me from pursuing,
Kept me from moving
From speaking my heart, and bearing my soul
No. It's too risky
There's too much at stake
Just play it safe
You'll never have to watch your heart break
Or the hearts of others
It was fear that shut me in
Fear kept me from feeling
Attempting to rebuild the prison of Consequence
So calmly suggesting with gentle force
That I had lost you forever and with you, my hope
If only you were better, your best is not Enough.
You fight with all your might,
but you can never get back the love you lost.
So press on Sisyphean soldier, salvage what you can
Then return to the Remnant of your Sight.
It was fear that nearly ruined me
Before I recalled Your light
My guide through the Stillnight and peace through the pain
I searched for You in Uncharted Waters and found You in three words.
You were hidden in my Epilogue so that I could remember
And now, looking back, I remember:
I am Yours
I am Yours.
It was fear that hindered me
But in Your victory it became slave to the desires it kept from me.
The dreams to reshape my reality,
The drive to keep pursuing,
And the heart eager to know and experience the treasure so carefully hidden for me;
Even through the pain
I remember Your light as causality shatters
And fear lay desolate at my feet.
It is here in this place, we meet
And you begin to unlock the treasures Hidden in me
Within this reality I more clearly see
That I am, and forever will be Yours.
